Mr. Charles R. ``Dick`` Fite, 54, of Huntersville, died Aug. 18, 1992, at home. Funeral was at First Baptist Church of Huntersville, where he was a member. Burial was in church cemetery.

Mr. Fite , a Spartanburg native, was a long-distance truck driver for Akers
Motor Lines. He was a 1957 graduate of North Mecklenburg High School and had
attended N.C. State University.

Survivors are his wife, Linda of Huntersville; son, Charles Fite Jr. of
Crewe, Va.; mother, Ms. Ethelyn Fite; four grandchildren.
