Sidney Caldwell

June 4, 1958 - May 4, 1979

Sidney Darrell Caldwell, 20, of RFD 2, Huntersville, N.C., died May 4, 1979. He was born June 4, 1958, in Mecklenburg County, son of Gilbert H. and Sylvia G. Caldwell. A graduate of North Mecklenburg High School, Mr. Caldwell was an eagle scout and was the representative of the Jim Stone District Piedmont Council at the World Scout Jamboree in Norway, 1975.

He retired from the Navy June, 1978.

Funeral services were 3:30 pm Sunday at the Cornelius Presbyterian Church with the Rev. J. E. Wayland, Jr., officiating. Interment was in the Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert H. Caldwell of Huntersville, N.C., three brothers, Gary Caldwell of Denver, N.C., Gilbert H. Caldwell, Jr., and Ronnie Caldwell both of the home.
Maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Groves of Lake Norman.
Paternal grandmother, Mrs. Ruby D. Caldwell of Cornelius, N.C.
